Skybreak is a physics-driven multiplayer drone shooter. Engines overheat. Batteries drain. Missiles ID their targets. Every move costs energy - every mistake costs altitude.

Dogfight in team deathmatch lobbies against players or bots, tune your loadout between rounds, and squad up with friends through the in-game social rail.

Built by one person

Skybreak is made by a single developer. No studio, no publisher. It's scoped like an indie project, not a AAA shooter - built deep rather than wide. The flight model, the combat feel, and the netcode are where the time went. It's in early access because it isn't finished. Expect rough edges.

What you can play today

• Team Deathmatch - 6v6 team combat across Office, Japan, and rotating maps. Play online, or solo against weapon-aware AI bots that fill empty slots so a lobby is never a wait.
• Practice - flight tutorial, ring circuit, target-lock drills, and a land-on-pad challenge.

In development

Not playable yet. This is what's being worked on, not a release schedule - plans can change.

• Free Roam - solo practice. Tune your loadout, learn the maps, push the physics.
• Cloud Racing - high-speed checkpoint racing through volumetric cloudscapes, weapons enabled.
• Destroy the Base - objective team warfare with a full ground army.

Combat

• Heat-seeking missiles with target ID and lock-on lead. Flares create false heat sources, so a lock is never a guarantee.
• Battery Shield, EMP Missile, Jammer, and Repair Missile gadgets.
• Three weapon slots plus gadgets and flight configs - every build changes how you fight.
• Style meter rewards Daredevils, Long Locks, and clean kills with XP and credits.
• Post-match breakdown shows exactly where every credit came from.

Flight

• No autopilot. Boost generates heat. Sustained throttle drains battery. Shields cost energy.
• Camera angle slider in both third- and first-person. Field of view configurable.
• Keyboard + mouse, and Xbox / DualShock / DualSense controllers.
• Controller-first UI - every menu navigates with a stick.

The launcher auto-updates, and the in-game news feed lists every version that has actually shipped.
